German Sugar Cookies (Christmas Cookies) - Margaret Ullrich

Don't be put off by the name.
These sugar cookies travel well.
And anyone would enjoy them.
There's a bit of a story to the recipe.

During WW II these cookies were mailed overseas and they survived the 6 week trip.
They became 'German Cookies' if they were captured en route.
